A Important Note About Merlin Music Systems

Due to the passing of my close friend, Bobby A Plakovic, Owner/President of Merlin Music System in August of 2015, Merlin Music Systems has ceased business operations shortly thereafter and is now closed. Without Bobby (who pretty much was Merlin) and the dire straits the company was left in, the company was not able to continue. There are no more new Merlin speakers available.

I have purposely left the info/pages below as they were before that to provide some reference/information on Merlin’s speakers. I am working on resurrecting the Merlin Music Systems Website as a source of information for current and future owners of VSM and TSM speakers and as a tribute to my departed friend. For those of you (like me) who still own and love or are interested in Merlin speakers, Signature Sound is offering repair, upgrades (exactly as Bobby P would have done them), and support services for Merlin TSM, and VSM models (including repairs and upgrades on the Merlin BAM which I have been manufacturing, repairing, and upgrading for Merlin since 2014). I have spares parts, drivers, etc on hand to perform this work. Please contact me directly via phone or e-mail with any Merlin questions.

A pretty bold claim I know, but my close association with Merlin Music Systems over the past 20 years makes me [Rich Brkich, Owner & Operator of Signature Sound] uniquely qualified to make this claim. On a personal level, my experience with Merlin started in 1986, when I purchased my first pair of Merlins The Merlin Music Systems Loudspeakers (a pair of 2b+ speakers), several years before founding Signature Sound.

Over the years, the dealer – manufacturer relationship grew past those normal bounds to one of friendship, assistant, and consultant to Merlin. Some of my special skills, knowledge, and experience with Merlin includes: Consulting with Merlin on the development of the various versions of the TSM and VSM, including beta testing of product changes before they went into production; I work for Merlin at trade shows helping set-up and run exhibit suite. I am familiar with ALL aspects of the manufacture of the VSM and TSM loudspeaker systems. This unique experience gives me an intimate understanding of Merlin speakers and how they work; I have personally set-up and demonstrated Merlin speakers in a wide range of environments with a wide range of equipment.
